My practice focuses on the medium of forged steel, making objects which are comprised of hot forged components which are then joined together using either rivets or other traditional techniques.
I aim to create a sense of elegance in the relatively cold and heavy material by heating the steel it to a plastic state to form shapes which are not possible in other materials or through other processes
I enjoy working together with a client to create a peice of work that is not only functional but also unique and intriguing in its form.
Blacksmithing has been a part of my life since the age of 13 after watching a master smith in his workshop. After finishing my A-levels I went on to study Artist Blacksmithing (BA) at Hereford College of Arts (2016-2019) and began setting up the workshop which I have now worked from full time since graduating.
Based in the West Midlands, Herefordshire.
